TED June Leadership Message
Hello TED Family,
It is my hope that you are getting some quality rejuvenation and fun! Everyone always talks about summer as a reboot! Refresh that class, get back on track with writing goals, plan a new course, the list goes on. Hopefully, as you are doing all of this great planning, you have included the TED Conference in November!
Pittsburg, PA. Nov 5-8th. Omni William Penn Hotel
Registration is open! https://tedcec.org/events/ted-conference/registration
The results are out! Hopefully, everyone who submitted proposals has heard from the Conference Advisory Committee. If you have not, please check your spam folder, remember we have a new system this year, and the email may not be going through your university’s security.
Poster and Conversation Sessions
There is still an opportunity to present in November at TED 2024. If you didn’t get your proposal in on time, or just realized you do have something you want to share with members, please consider submitting a Poster or Conversation Proposal today! TED is accepting submissions for Poster and Conversation Tables Only now thru June 30th, 2024- Submit Today!
June’s Member on the Move
This month’s Member on the Move - took me seriously when I said “MOVE”
She went INTERNATIONAL!
Former TED president, Wendy Murawski, has been asked to present on co-teaching, UDL, and inclusive practices internationally. While simultaneously conducting research on a cross-cultural analysis of co-teaching, she's been to Germany, Denmark, Switzerland, Norway, Greece, Sweden, and Ireland. In October, she'll be keynoting in Abu Dhabi in July.
Wendy’s presentations are always engaging! She always gets participants involved to demonstrate how easy the strategies are to implement! And more importantly, how beneficial they are for students, ALL STUDENTS. This picture shows Wendy with colleagues from different countries.
Wendy is always about building community COLLABORATIVELY!
We love to highlight our members! Please share what you are doing. TED Members on the Move
Your TED
The TED board is grateful to represent YOU, our members. We do not take that responsibility lightly. However, we are a small group representing the entire organization. That is 14 people representing 1,700 members. We need to know more about you and what you are looking for in your professional network. I have been urging you all year to get involved with a committee, small interest group (SIG), or caucus. And please still look into that, but I am opening up a virtual suggestion box too. IDEAS for TED Virtual Suggestion Box
Please fill out this form - it can be anonymous. However, if you would like to engage in dialogue with me or another board member, please share your name and contact information. I look forward to hearing from you and sharing your ideas with the board.
Until Next Time,
Have a great month,
Kyena
TED President
