March Leadership Message

Hello TED Family!

Is it too early to say spring is just around the corner? Here’s to warmer, longer days for our northern colleagues! I am pleased to report that the board continues to engage in meaningful conversations to elevate TED as a professional organization. For those who read, listened to, or attended a virtual Washington update, our collective advocacy is making a tangible difference.

We hope to see many of you at the CEC Salt Lake City Conference March 11-14. Please mark your calendars that the TED General Business Meeting will be held March 12th at 5:00PM in Ballroom G. The CEC conference is a unique opportunity for TED members, other CEC divisions, and thousands of special education teachers and administrators to network and dialog. CEC is an excellent opportunity for TED members to build partnerships and generate ideas that make their research more relevant and their teacher preparation programs more responsive to the needs of today’s classrooms.

I, personally, am excited to head to Salt Lake City to share dinner with colleagues and friends, take care of business at our in person TED board meeting, wander the expo hall to feel the buzz of new ideas, and join sessions that reveal the bold innovations shaping the future of our field. I hope to see you there!
