Stay Connected with TED

TED sends regular emails to its members. To ensure you are receiving emails from TED, please check the options below.

  1. Confirm CEC Communication Preferences. Log into your CEC account on www.exceptionalchildren.org and click on "My Account." Once signed into your account, click the "Opt-in and Opt-out" button under "Account Actions." Scroll down to "Opt-Out: Unsubscribe." Make sure that the box that says “Send No Emails” is unchecked. If that is unchecked, you can move on to the next option.

  2. Add TED as a safe sender. You may want to reach out to your university to make sure that they make the ted@exceptionalchildren.org email is a safe sender email address. A lot of universities have increased their security features and this has been impacting some members. Other than the options I listed to Safe Sender, you can also change out your CEC email address to be your personal email (such as a Gmail) to make sure it doesn’t get blocked by university accounts. Follow the directions below to add TED as a safe sender.

If your school or university has its own spam filters, you may need to forward this to technical support to request that these domains be added to your Safe Sender list.

  1. Still not getting emails? If none of those options remedy the situation, please reach out to ted@exceptionalchildren.org, so we can look into your specific account and track down the problem! We want to make sure you are getting all of our communication, so please don’t hesitate to reach out!
