Is there a lost and found?

First stop by the TED registration counter on the 17th floor. If you are unable to find it, please go to the hotel front desk.

Dietary Restrictions

If you indicated during registration that you had a dietary restriction and you do not see it accommodated in the provided meals, please ask the banquet attendant.

What Should I Wear?

Conference attire is business casual. Please bring comfortable shoes for walking to session rooms. Pittsburgh temperature is anticipated to be low 60s. We recommend layering as hotel meeting rooms can be cold.

Where do I get a receipt for my registration? Please check the email affiliated with your TED account, as receipts are sent when you register for the conference. Still, need a copy of your receipt? Please email ted@exceptionalchildren.org 

I do not seem to be getting emails from TED. What should I do? Please check your spam folder and make sure your profile has been updated if you have a different employer than when you joined CEC. Please contact ted@exceptionalchildren.org if this still does not remedy it

What is the cancellation policy?  Cancellations requested on or before September 30, 2024 (midnight EST), will result in a $100 cancellation fee. ALL cancellations between October 1, 2024, and November 4, 2024, will result in a $250 cancellation fee. NO requests for refunds will be granted once the conference begins on November 5, 2024.  No exceptions will be made to this TED Board Policy

What if I need an Accessibility Accommodation for TED? 

For TED events, you are asked while registering to indicate the area(s) in which you will need assistance. Once the registration process is complete, a staff member will follow up with you to review your survey responses and discuss your needs.

We ask that all requests for reasonable accommodations at our events be made as early as possible and at least two weeks in advance of the event, so that we may best meet individual needs and provide outside services, if necessary. On-site requests will be met to the best of our ability; however, available resources may be limited or unavailable. If you have additional questions please email ted@exceptionalchildren.org 

Nursing Mother's Room

Please stop by the registration desk to pickup a key if you need to use the Heinz room. It will be available starting Wednesday, November 6th - Friday, November 8th.

Quiet Room

Need a break and a chance to re-center, stop by Parkview East as the designated quiet room during TED 2024 Conference. The room will be available Wednesday, November 6th - Friday, November 8th. 

Writing Retreat

Do you need a place to write with co-authors or focus? Tables will be setup in Three Rivers Room starting Wednesday, November 6th from 8 am - 3pm through Friday, November 8th. *(Check for app for hours each day)
