Description: This workshop is intended for EPP faculty who are revising initial special educator preparation programs or developing new ones. Although it will be especially helpful to those pursuing national accreditation and/or CEC SPA Recognition, the approach to program design will be useful to any EPP desiring to align with the most current international standards and high leverage practices. The presenters, who Co-Chaired the CEC Standards Development Workgroup (2017-2020), will provide an overview of the 2020 Practice-Based Professional Preparation Standards (K-12) with insights into the supportive resources available. They then will share practical strategies and tools for program development and assessment. During the workshop, participants will have opportunities to try out several tools applied to their own EPPs.

Co-Presenters: Dee Berlinghoff, Ph.D. Professor Emerita, Division of Education Mount St. Mary College

Virginia McLaughlin, Ed.D. Chancellor Professor Emerita, School of Education William & Mary

Date: Tuesday, November 8, 2022 Time: 9:00AM-4:00PM Cost:  $100

There will be a lunch break between sessions (lunch on your own), but we will keep tables open for folks who want to bring back their lunch for more networking and sharing of ideas.

Description: Join us for an interactive day highlighting the integration of technology within educator prep programs. Bring your own technology that you use for teaching (e.g., laptops, tablets, phones) or use some of ours. The morning workshop will focus on using technology to model effective teaching practices within teacher preparation courses. Our interactive demonstrations will include technology think-aloud to help you consider how different uses of technology can increase participation, support classroom management, and facilitate inclusive/accessible class activities. The afternoon workshop is ISET's "Explore & Take Tech Playground" where we will facilitate activity stations for teaching about Assistive Technology to preservice teachers across your different courses. You will leave with materials and resources to recreate these activities with your teacher candidates.

Date: Tuesday, November 8, 2022 Time: 9:00AM-12:00PM Cost:  $60
