The CEC Annual Convention & Expo is the premier event for the special education community, including those who work with students birth to grade 12, administrators at all levels, and those working in higher education. Focused on professional development and networking, it’s the prime event each year for the field.

2022 Convention Location

CEC is committed to providing an inclusive environment and will work to assure accessibility to the best of our ability. In addition to the accessibility features at the Orlando World Center Marriott, CEC will: Designate preferential seating for communication access in all sessions Designate space for wheelchair/scooter placement in all sessions Provide ASL interpreters and real time captioning (CART) at the three general sessions Registrants will have the opportunity to request additional accommodations when registering for CEC 2022. The CEC 2022 staff and volunteer leadership are closely monitoring all recommendations set forth by the CDC and World Health Organization. In addition, our team is closely following best practices set forth by the meeting planning industry, including managing attendee flow, room setups and sizes, meal service, and expo management. All attendees will be expected to follow appropriate protocols set forth by CEC in the weeks leading up to the convention, which may include wearing masks, taking temperatures, social distancing, and additional protocols relevant at the time of the convention. CEC 2022 Convention & Expo

Each year at the CEC Convention & Expo, thousands of special education professionals from around the world come together to learn, share, grow, and connect. With hundreds of sessions on just about every topic in the field, the CEC Convention & Expo is THE professional development event for special educators to find research, tips, and strategies you can actually apply to supporting students with disabilities and/or gifts and talents.

PDHs and/or Certificate of Attendance for CEC 2022 Convention

You will use our Professional Development Hours (PDHs) reporting system to claim your PDH credits and print a certificate of attendance. You will use this system for both the in-person convention (Jan 16-19) and the virtual convention (Feb 1-4). All attendees have access to the PDH reporting system through July 31, 2022.
