This workshop is intended for program faculty who are developing or revising initial special educator preparation programs. Although it will be especially helpful to those pursuing national accreditation and/or CEC SPA Recognition, the approach to program design will be useful to any program desiring to align with the most current international standards and high leverage practices. The session will provide a brief overview of the 2020 Initial Practice-Based Professional Preparation Standards (K-12). A six-step approach to program development, along with practical strategies and tools for program development and assessment will be included.
